Basheer Letter Writing Competition

The Department of English, WIRAS – Wadhihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies, is organizing a Letter Writing Competition titled "Mathilukalkkappuram – Letters Beyond Boundaries" on 5 July 2026 to commemorate the death anniversary of the legendary writer Vaikom Muhammed Basheer. The competition invites students to pen an original handwritten letter celebrating the beauty of love, companionship, and human connection, inspired by Basheer's literary legacy. The event aims to encourage creative expression, strengthen writing skills, and foster an appreciation for the timeless values reflected in his works. Students are encouraged to participate and pay tribute to the iconic writer through the art of letter writing.
