About The Library

The college is well advanced with a very spacious library that serves as a hub of knowledge and information. It provides diverse Books, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, Question Bank and Digital Resources catering to students’ academic needs and intellectual curiosities across various disciplines. Library has a total area of 1844 sq.ft and Seventy users can be accommodated in the library at a time. The library has a collection of over 5000 books and subscribes to prestigious journals and magazines.

Working Hours

  • Library will be open from 9 .00 am to 5.00 pm (Monday to Saturday)
  • The library is closed on Sundays and all public holidays.

Membership

Membership of library is open to all students and staff of Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies.

Rules & Regulations

  • Identity Card is must for library entrance and users should record their details in the gate Register.
  • Keep your bags and personal belongings at the property counter near to the entrance.
  • Silence should be maintained in the library and its immediate premises.
  • Faculty can borrow 10 books, UG Students can borrow 3 books, PG students can borrow 5 books at a time from the library.
  • General books are issued for a period of 14 days.
  • Reference books will not be issued.
  • A book may be re-issued to the same user if there is no other applicant for it.
  • The librarian can recall a book at any time.
  • A fine of Rs .1/- for general books will be levied per day if a book is retained beyond the permitted period.
  • When leaving the Institute, the member of library should obtain a “Library No Dues” certificate.

The WIRAS Library has a collection of over 5000 books in the area of Science & Technology, Management, Commerce, Arts, Humanities, Languages & Social Sciences and related subjects based on selection by the faculty and students of WIRAS College. Besides these, library has also many kinds of reference books like dictionaries, thesaurus, encyclopedias, handbooks, and manuals.

Journals & Magazines

Library is subscribing to 13 print journals and 20 magazines for the academic community. The subscribed copies are displayed in the periodical section.
