Comic Day Celebration

The English Association of the Department of English, WIRAS, celebrated Comic Day on 21 August 2025 with vibrant and creative programmes at the Seminar Hall. Students showcased their artistic flair and storytelling skills on the theme “Treasure Hunt”, turning ideas into engaging visual comic narratives in the Comic Strip Drawing Competition. The event was filled with creativity, imagination, and enthusiasm. The afternoon session featured a screening of the animated film Big Hero 6, attracting enthusiastic participation. The film’s themes of friendship, teamwork, and resilience made it both entertaining and meaningful. Outstanding participants were recognized for their creativity and storytelling excellence. The celebration beautifully blended art, literature, and cinema—making Comic Day a lively and memorable experience for students.
