Commerce Day Webinar Highlights Intellectual Property

The Department of Management Studies, WIRAS, organized a Commerce Day Special Webinar on “Intellectual Property Rights – From Ideas to Ownership” on 3 August 2026 via Google Meet. The programme began with a welcome address by Mrs. Anagha M. V., followed by the presidential address of Dr. Rasna T. P. P., Head of the Department of Management, and the inaugural address by Dr. Aboo Ishaque P. K., Principal, WIRAS. Advocate N. Suresh Babu delivered the keynote address, explaining the significance of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights in protecting innovation and creativity. Felicitations were offered by Dr. Vineethkumar V., Dr. Ayshath Shamah Rahmath, and Mr. Vinayakan V. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Fathimathul Ridha, and witnessed active participation from faculty members and students.
