Commerce Students Explore Global Accounting Careers

The PG Department of Commerce, WIRAS, organized “Discover ACCA” as part of its Department Induction Programme 2026–27 on 24 July 2026. The programme introduced first-year B.Com students to the globally recognized Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. Dr. Noble Jacob, Head of the Department, inaugurated the session, while Ms. Sruthi Purushothaman, Assistant Manager, ISDC, explained the ACCA programme, eligibility, examination pattern, exemptions, and global career opportunities. Mrs. Della Samuel offered felicitations, and Ms. Safana delivered the vote of thanks. The informative session motivated students to pursue internationally recognized professional qualifications alongside their undergraduate studies.
