English Department Welcomes Freshers Creatively

The Department of English, WIRAS, commenced its Induction Programme 2026 on 23 July 2026 with a series of engaging sessions for first-year students. The programme began with “ENTRÉE,” the inaugural session featuring an inspiring interaction with Rajeesh Bala, author and Assistant Professor, Department of Journalism. Students then participated in “Let's Explore,” a guided campus tour introducing them to the institution's facilities. The day concluded with “Roots & Routes,” an interactive session led by Yasin Fayaz, alumnus of the Department of English, and Manu C. H., Department of Malayalam, who shared their experiences and motivated students. The programme successfully fostered confidence, belonging, and academic enthusiasm among the newcomers.
