Cyber Awareness Programme
The PG Department of Commerce, Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies (WIRAS) organized a Cyber Awareness Programme on 09 July 2026 at 2:30 PM in the College Seminar Hall. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about cyber security, cyber hygiene, digital banking safety, cyber frauds, fake loan applications, mule accounts, and financial literacy. The session was handled by Dr. Renjith K. S., Lead District Manager (LDM), Kannur, who explained various cyber threats and the precautions to be taken while using digital banking services. He also highlighted the importance of protecting personal and financial information in the digital era and encouraged students to adopt safe online practices.As part of the programme, students were introduced to RBI Reelathon 2026, a cyber awareness reel-making competition organized by the Reserve Bank of India, offering attractive cash prizes. The resource person motivated students to actively participate in the competition and contribute to promoting cyber awareness through creative content.The programme was highly informative and interactive. Students actively participated in the session by raising questions and clarifying their doubts regarding cyber security and financial frauds. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, and the participants appreciated the initiative taken by the department in promoting cyber awareness and responsible digital behaviour.
