Award-Winning Documentary ‘Pallom’ Screened at WIRAS

As part of ENWIRAS 2025, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit 48 of Wadihuda Institute of Research & Advanced Studies (WIRAS) organized the screening of the award-winning documentary “Pallom” by filmmaker Jayesh Padichal on 17th September 2025 at the BR Ambedkar Seminar Hall. The programme was exclusively arranged for NSS volunteers.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Vineethkumar V., Research Director, WIRAS, and presided over by Mr. Rajeesh V. V., Programme Officer, NSS. Suhan Haneef delivered the welcome address, while Aryan Salgunan proposed the vote of thanks.

“Pallom,” acclaimed for its vivid visuals and powerful message, explores the ecological significance of wetlands and the urgent need for conservation. The screening formed part of ENVIRAS 2025, a week-long celebration on the theme “Nurturing Nature, Securing Future,” aimed at creating environmental awareness among students.
