Blood Donation Camp Organized at WIRAS

A Blood Donation Camp was organized by NSS Unit 48 of Wadihuda Institute of Research & Advanced Studies (WIRAS) in association with the Blood Bank, Government Medical College, Kannur, on 17th September 2025 at the BR Ambedkar Seminar Hall, WIRAS. The programme was conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

The camp was formally inaugurated by Dr. K. Manesh Medical Officer, FHC Cheruthazham while Smt. Kamala T. V., Member, Cheruthazham Panchayat, attended as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by Mr. Rajeesh V. V., NSS Programme Officer.

Principal Dr. Aboo Ishaque, Dr. Vineethkumar V. (Director of Research), and Dr. Rasna T. P. P. (Head of Management Department) spoke on the importance of voluntary blood donation. Dr. Abhirami Sajeev, Medical Officer, Govt. Medical College Pariyaram, and Mr. Jose Bush, Medical Counselor, Blood Bank, Govt. Medical College Pariyaram, felicitated the gathering.

The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Rifa, NSS Volunteer, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Malavika Ranjith. The camp saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff, underscoring WIRAS’s commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.
