Clubs & Committees Orientation Session Held for First Year Students

As part of the ongoing Induction Programme for First-Year Students, the institution organized a comprehensive Orientation Session on Clubs & Committees on 18th July 2025 at the college auditorium. The event aimed to introduce the newly admitted students to the wide array of clubs, cells, and committees functioning on campus, encouraging them to participate actively in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

The session commenced at 10:00 AM and featured detailed presentations by faculty coordinators of various student initiatives. Dr. Akhil R opened the session by introducing the IBM Course, which aligns academic learning with real-world industry requirements.

Mr. Rajeesh V.V, NSS Programme Officer, highlighted the core values and social impact of the National Service Scheme, urging students to engage in meaningful community service. This was followed by Mr. Rahanas T, who elaborated on the Leaders Academy, designed to develop leadership qualities and social responsibility among students.

Mrs. Della Samuel, coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development Club, introduced the club’s activities that nurture innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. Mr. Sajesh K addressed the students on the importance of a safe and inclusive campus through his presentation on the Anti-Ragging Committee, reaffirming the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.

Following a short break, the session resumed at 11:30 AM with Mr. Vinayakan V, who spoke about the Placement Cell and its role in offering career guidance, training, and campus recruitment opportunities. The final presentation was delivered by Ms. Simi U, who introduced the Civil Service Academy and detailed the support system available for students preparing for competitive exams such as the UPSC.
