Digi-Smart: UPI Awareness Programme Conducted by Department of Management Studies

The Department of Management Studies, WIRAS – Wadhihuda Institute of Research & Advanced Studies, organized “Digi-Smart,” a UPI Awareness Programme on 27 March 2026 as part of its social outreach initiative. The programme aimed to create awareness among the public about digital payment systems and promote the safe and effective use of UPI in daily transactions. The session introduced participants to the concept and benefits of cashless transactions in the digital era. It covered key aspects such as the basics of UPI, step-by-step digital payment methods, safe usage of QR code transactions, and essential online payment safety practices. Practical guidance was also provided on identifying and avoiding common online frauds such as fake payment requests, suspicious links, and OTP scams.  The programme helped improve digital literacy and financial awareness among participants while encouraging responsible use of digital payment technologies. The initiative concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants, highlighting the importance of safe and secure digital transactions in everyday life.
