English Department Explores Libraries in AI

The Department of English, WIRAS, organized an international webinar titled “From Prompts to Pages: Libraries in the AI Era – Empowering Students for Learning, Research, and Career Success” on 19 August 2026 at the Seminar Hall in hybrid mode. The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Ayshath Shamah Rahmath, Academic Coordinator, followed by the inaugural address by Dr. Aboo Ishaque P. K., Principal, WIRAS. Ms. Hridya Suresh K., Programme Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks. The session was led by Ms. Agnes, MSc Data Science scholar from the UK, who discussed the transformative role of artificial intelligence in information retrieval and modern digital libraries. She also highlighted how AI can empower students in academic research, learning, and career development.
