Faculty Development Programme (FDP): TeachBeyond – Phase 1
Day 1
The inaugural session of the Faculty Development Programme (FDP): TeachBeyond – Phase 1 was held at Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies on 27-05-2025, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event commenced promptly at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall with the presence of all teaching faculty members.
The programme began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Akhil R, the IQAC Coordinator, followed by the presidential address by Dr. Aboo Ishaque Pk, Principal, who emphasized the importance of continuous professional development in higher education. The FDP was formally inaugurated by Er. Mohammed Riyas, Director, who appreciated the initiative and highlighted the role of faculty in adapting to institutional growth and digital transitions.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Alikutty, Executive Officer, who reflected on the evolving academic and administrative landscape and the significance of training programmes like FDPs in ensuring institutional effectiveness. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Shasmi, HR Manager, acknowledging the contributions of all dignitaries and participants.
After a short tea break, the technical session began at 11:00 AM and continued until 3:00 PM, with a lunch break between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. The session was led by Mr. Sirajudheen MV, the resource person, who conducted an intensive training session on the newly introduced ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system in the college. The training focused on key modules, including academic planning, student management, attendance tracking, and internal assessment systems.
The session also featured one-to-one interactions and a hands-on workshop, where faculty members received direct support and guidance on using the ERP platform effectively. The interactive nature of the session allowed participants to clarify doubts and gain practical knowledge essential for smooth implementation.
The first day of the FDP concluded successfully with active participation and positive feedback from the faculty members. It laid a strong foundation for the upcoming sessions under TeachBeyond – Phase 1.
