Film Screening - 2025

The Department of English, WIRAS , organized a film screening for our first-year BA English students on 16 July 2025. The inspiring sports drama Chak De! India was screened, setting the tone for an engaging and meaningful induction experience. The film beautifully highlighted themes of teamwork, perseverance, gender equality, and leadership — sparking thoughtful reflections among students. An interactive discussion followed, where students shared their insights on representation, motivation, and storytelling, connecting cinema with their academic journey in literature and media studies. The session saw enthusiastic participation and successfully fostered a spirit of bonding, critical thinking, and collective learning.
