IPR Awareness Session on “Protecting Ideas and Innovation”

The PG Department of Commerce organized an IPR Awareness Session titled “Protecting Ideas and Innovation” on 26 March 2026 at 10:30 AM to create awareness among students about the importance of Intellectual Property Rights.The programme began with a welcome address by Raheema T P, Assistant Professor and Programme Coordinator. The session was inaugurated by Dr. Noble Jacob, who highlighted the importance of protecting innovative ideas and creativity. The resource person, Adv. Thasleena Thayyil, practicing advocate at Payyannur Bar, delivered an informative talk on various aspects of IPR, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks.The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ameena V V.
