NSS and District Literacy Mission to Host Volunteer Orientation Under New India Literacy Programme
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit 48 of WIRAS in collaboration with the District Literacy Mission, Kannur, will be conducting an Orientation Programme for Volunteers on 5th August 2025 (Tuesday) at 1:30 PM.
The session will be led by V.R.V. Ezhome, Director of SASTHRA and a distinguished Member of the District Literacy Mission Authority. The programme is part of the New India Literacy Programme, a national initiative aimed at eradicating illiteracy and empowering citizens through education.
This orientation seeks to equip NSS volunteers with the knowledge and skills required to effectively participate in literacy initiatives across the region. It marks a significant step in strengthening community engagement and fostering a culture of learning and service.
Students, faculty, and invited guests are expected to attend the event, which underlines WIRAS’s continued commitment to social transformation through education and volunteerism.
