Research Orientation Program on “Navigating Research and the Pathway to Publication”

The Department of English, WIRAS College, organized a Research Orientation Programme titled “Navigating Research and the Pathway to Publication” on 19 June 2025 for final-year undergraduate students at the 5th Semester Lecture Hall. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Shahina Abdul Salam, Assistant Professor. The session was inaugurated by Ms. Nivedya Das, Head of the Department, who highlighted the importance of fostering a strong research culture among students. Dr. Vineethkumar V., Research Director, WIRAS, served as the resource person and delivered an insightful session on the fundamentals of academic research, including topic selection and research paper structure. An interactive Q&A session followed, enabling students to clarify their doubts regarding project work and research challenges. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Faheema, Assistant Professor. The session received positive feedback from students, who found it highly beneficial in enhancing their understanding and confidence in academic research.
