Seminar on Digital Safety Session

The Department of Computer Science at Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies (WIRAS) organized a Seminar on Digital Safety Session as part of ENWIRAS 2025 on 18 September 2025 for First-Year BCA students. The session was led by Mr. Muhammed Shafi K., Assistant Director, ITEC, Palayad Campus, Kannur University, who spoke on password security, phishing threats, two-factor authentication, and the risks of public Wi-Fi networks. Students also participated in hands-on lab training sessions on identifying phishing emails and practicing safe digital habits. The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Anshida, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Marwa Mohammed, First-Year BCA student. The seminar successfully created awareness among students about cybersecurity and safe online practices.
