Seminar on “Exploring the Future of Technology through Blockchain”
The Department of Computer Science organized a seminar on “Exploring the Future of Technology through Blockchain” on 19 August 2025 for BCA students as part of its initiative to introduce emerging technologies and practical industry trends. The programme began with a welcome address by Fathima Shiba, Second-Year BCA student, followed by the presidential address by Ms. Soumya Rishin, HoD, Department of Computer Science, who emphasized the importance of staying updated with advancements in technology and innovation. The seminar was handled by Ms. Arifa P., Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Applications, CHMKM Government Arts and Science College, Tanur. She explained the fundamentals of blockchain technology, including decentralized systems, cryptographic security, consensus mechanisms, and data immutability. The session also highlighted the applications of blockchain in sectors such as healthcare, education, digital identity, supply chain management, and e-governance. The resource person also discussed career and research opportunities in blockchain technology and encouraged students to explore blockchain programming and smart contracts. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and clarifying their doubts. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shithil K., Third-Year BCA student. The seminar proved to be highly informative and successful in creating awareness about blockchain technology and its future applications among students.
