Seminar on “Gender, Power and the Therapeutic Encounter” for Psychology Students

The PG Department of Psychology, WIRAS, in association with the Anti-Discrimination Cell, is organizing a seminar on “Gender, Power and the Therapeutic Encounter” for Psychology students on 25 March 2026 at 1:30 PM in the Seminar Hall, WIRAS. The session will be led by Mizaj KV, Assistant Professor, Indira Mahindra School of Education, Mahindra University, Hyderabad. The seminar aims to provide insights into the dynamics of gender and power within therapeutic relationships and to enhance students’ understanding of ethical and professional practices in psychological counselling and therapy. The programme is expected to benefit Psychology students by offering valuable academic exposure and interaction with an experienced resource person in the field.
