Sira Takes Psychology Students Into Mangroves
As part of the observance of World Nature Conservation Day, the PG Department of Psychology, WIRAS, organized “Sira: Into the Mangrove,” an educational visit to Kandalkadu, Edat. The programme aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to the ecological importance of mangrove ecosystems and their vital role in maintaining environmental balance. During the visit, students explored the mangrove habitat and gained insights into the need for biodiversity conservation and sustainable environmental practices. The programme also featured the honouring of Mr. Rajan P. P., environmental activist, in recognition of his dedicated and tireless contributions to nature conservation.
