United for a Cause: NSS Unit 48 and Sir Syed ITS Rally Support for Nandana Suresh

Strengthening the spirit of service and compassion, NSS Unit 48 of Wadhihuda Institute of Research & Advanced Studies (WIRAS) continues its heartfelt mission to support Nandana Suresh, a Vilayancode native undergoing a kidney transplant. The latest contribution came from the NSS Unit of Sir Syed ITS, which handed over Rs 18,353 towards her treatment.

The amount was formally handed over by Dr. Siraj M V P, Principal of Sir Syed ITS, accompanied by Programme Officer Mr. Sabith and NSS volunteers. Representing NSS Unit 48 were volunteers Adil Falah, Jasna P M, Haisom Abdul Latheef, and Fathima Hamsa, who received the donation on behalf of the unit and the beneficiary.

This generous contribution adds to the Rs 48,324 previously raised by NSS Unit 48 through local fundraising campaigns in Payyannur, Taliparamba, and Pazhayangadi; Rs 36,669 collected by NSS Unit 10 of Payyannur College; Rs 28,870 contributed by Sir Syed College NSS Units 14 and 15; and Rs 12,000 collected by NSS Unit 57 of St Joseph's College Pilathara. With this latest support, the total amount raised for Nandana’s treatment has now crossed Rs 1,75,000.

This collaborative effort continues to exemplify the core values of the National Service Scheme (NSS), proving how student volunteers and educational institutions can make a real impact. NSS Unit 48 extends heartfelt gratitude to Payyannur College, Sir Syed ITS, St Joseph's College, Sir Syed College, and all NSS volunteers for their timely and generous support.
