WIRAS Hosts Engaging Session on the Journey of English Literature

The Department of English, WIRAS, organized an induction programme on 2 June 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM for undergraduate English literature students at the Final Year Classroom. The session commenced with a welcome address by Faheema, followed by the formal inauguration by Nivedya Das. The highlight of the programme was an insightful session by Shahina Abdul Salam on “English Literature: Past, Present and Future.” The session guided students through major literary periods, from the Anglo-Saxon era to Postmodernism, offering a deeper understanding of the evolution of literature. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Fathima K. E..
