WIRAS Hosts “Startup Track and Innovation Corridor” Under Kerala Startup Mission
The Department of Management Studies at WIRAS organized an inspiring programme titled “Startup Track and Innovation Corridor” on August 25, 2025, under the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) initiative. The event aimed to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and a startup mindset among students.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Rasna T.P.P, Head of the Department, who highlighted the department’s focus on fostering entrepreneurial skills. This was followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. Aboo Ishaque P.K, Principal of WIRAS, who emphasized the importance of academic support in nurturing future entrepreneurs and innovators.
The highlight of the event was the keynote address by Mr. Rony K. Roy, Senior Technology Fellow at KSUM. He shared valuable insights into Kerala’s evolving startup ecosystem and encouraged students to actively engage in innovation and entrepreneurship. He also spoke about the various support mechanisms offered by KSUM to early-stage startups.
Dr. Akhil R. (Vice-Principal), Mr. Salmanul Faris (Dean, Student Affairs), and faculty members delivered felicitations, motivating students to think beyond conventional career paths.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Madona, expressing gratitude to all contributors. The session left participants energized and inspired to explore entrepreneurial ventures.
