WIRAS NSS and Magazine Committee Host Discussion on Feminism in the Gen Z Era

NSS Unit 48, in collaboration with the Magazine Committee, organized a thought-provoking discussion titled “Feminism: A Realistic Evaluation in the Gen Z Era” at Azadi Circle. The event aimed to foster critical thinking and inclusive dialogue among students on contemporary gender issues.

The session was moderated by Mr. Rajeesh V V, NSS Programme Officer and Assistant Professor of Journalism, who introduced the theme and contextualized feminism within the values and experiences of Generation Z.

A diverse panel of faculty members contributed to the discussion, including Ms. Sini (Management), Ms. Riya and Ms. Muhsina (English), Ms. Neethu (Commerce), Mr. Pradeepan (Languages), and Mr. Sajesh K (Physical Education). Their perspectives explored evolving gender roles, digital activism, inclusivity, and the relevance of feminism in today’s social context.

Ms. Shahina concluded the session with closing remarks, summarizing the insights and encouraging students to continue engaging in meaningful dialogue.

The event witnessed participation from 21 students, along with faculty, NSS volunteers, and Magazine Committee members. Insights from the discussion will be featured in the upcoming college magazine, ensuring continued reflection and student engagement with critical social themes.
