WIRAS NSS Unit 48 Hands Over Rs.36,669 for Medical Aid of Nandana Suresh

The NSS Unit 48 of Wadhihuda Institute of Research & Advanced Studies (WIRAS) formally handed over an amount of ?36,669 to Principal Dr. P. K. Aboo Ishaque. The amount was collected by NSS Unit 10 of Payyannur College to support the kidney transplant treatment of Nandana Suresh, a native of Vilayancode.

The fund was raised through the dedicated efforts of volunteers and staff at Payyannur College as part of a humanitarian drive led by Programme Officer Mrs. Surekha and Volunteer Secretary Arjun Manikandan. The contribution was received and presented to the Principal by the Volunteer Secretaries of NSS Unit 48 — Hafiz Hashim, Ridha Ayisha, Mirza Ali, and Roosa.

This gesture is part of a larger campaign initiated by WIRAS NSS Unit 48, which had earlier raised ?48,324 from public donations in Payyannur, Taliparamba, and Pazhayangadi. With this additional support from Payyannur College, the collective effort continues to ease the financial burden faced by Nandana’s family.
