WIRAS NSS Unit Pays Tribute to Postal Heroes on National Postal Worker Day
On July 1, 2025, in observance of National Postal Worker Day, the NSS Unit of WIRAS conducted a heartfelt visit to the Vilayancode Post Office to honor the dedication of postal employees who have played a vital role in connecting people over generations.
As a token of gratitude, rose flowers were presented to the staff, symbolizing respect and appreciation for their unwavering service. A brief ceremony was held where Ms. Devaki T, Branch Post Master, along with Assistant Branch Post Masters Ms. Aswathy C C and Mr. Vipin Prakash, were felicitated by the NSS team.
The programme began with a welcome address by NSS volunteer Rifa P K, followed by a presidential note by Programme Officer Mr. Rajeesh V V, who emphasized the evolving communication landscape and the timeless value of postal services. Volunteer Muhammed Ashraf K M delivered the vote of thanks.
A total of 50 NSS volunteers actively participated in the event, making it a memorable tribute to those who have delivered not just letters, but emotions and connections across time.
