WIRAS Observes International Programming Day with “Hack the Code” Competition
The Department of Computer Science, WadiHuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies (WIRAS), celebrated International Programming Day on 15th September 2025 by organizing a coding competition titled “Hack the Code”. The event was conducted exclusively for 2nd and 3rd year BCA students to strengthen their logical thinking, coding ability, and problem-solving skills.
The competition was structured in two rounds. Round 1 featured 25 objective questions, including error identification, output prediction, and C programming concept-based fill-in-the-blanks. Out of 27 participants, 10 students advanced to the second round. Round 2 challenged the shortlisted participants to write, execute, and debug complete C programs based on given logic, testing both their technical knowledge and reasoning abilities.
After a rigorous competition, the winners were announced:
First Prize: Mohammed Falahul Abid (5th Semester BCA)
Second Prize: Sahal Fouz Kunhamed (5th Semester BCA)
The event was coordinated by Ms. Diviya T, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students. The competition not only celebrated the spirit of programming but also encouraged peer learning and innovation among budding coders.
