WIRAS Wins Kannur University Intercollegiate Basketball Championship 2025

Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies (WIRAS) created history by winning the Men’s Basketball Championship at the Kannur University Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament 2025, organized by St. Joseph College, Pilathara, on 17 December 2025. This marks the first-ever championship victory for WIRAS in men’s basketball. The WIRAS team demonstrated exceptional skill, discipline, and teamwork throughout the tournament, emerging victorious against strong competitors. In recognition of their outstanding performance, five players from the team were selected to the Kannur University Basketball Team. Notably, Mr. Muhammed Iswan Khadar went on to represent Kannur University at the South Zone Inter-University Basketball Championship, bringing laurels to the institution. This remarkable achievement highlights WIRAS’s growing excellence in sports and its commitment to holistic student development.
