NSS Creates Bonds Beyond Classrooms

NSS Unit 48 of WIRAS conducted “La. Sa. Gu. – Lalitham Souhrudam Guththam” at Azadi Circle on 10 September 2026 as part of Teachers’ Day celebrations. The programme aimed to strengthen teacher-student relationships by creating an informal space for communication, shared experiences and mutual understanding beyond the classroom. NSS Volunteer Ajna Parveen UKP delivered the welcome speech, while Anushka C. K., Assistant Professor of Psychology, moderated the interaction. Dr. Jeena T. C., Head of the Department of Physical Education, inaugurated the programme. Students from different departments and teachers from English, Psychology, Physical Education, Commerce, Management and Computer Application participated. Academic, psychological and situational challenges faced by students and teachers were discussed openly, encouraging empathy and mutual respect. The participating teachers included Anushka C. K., Shamseer M. A., Dr. Noble Jacob, Shahina Abdul Salam, Sajil K., Vaishnavi, Riya Chittoth, and Shadiya V. V. NSS Programme Officer Rajeesh V. V. delivered the vote of thanks.
