NSS Explores Madayipara's Ecological Heritage

NSS Unit 48 of WIRAS organized "Mannum Mazhayum," a Nature Awareness Programme, at Madayipara on 27 June 2026 to promote environmental awareness among volunteers. The programme began with a campus cleaning drive from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a field visit to the ecologically significant Madayipara. Journalist and nature conservationist Mr. Nishanth Pariyaram led the awareness session, explaining the history, biodiversity, and environmental changes of the region. Volunteers explored the landscape to gain firsthand knowledge of its rich ecosystem. As part of the programme, Mr. Nishanth donated a book on Madayipara to the college library. The programme concluded with enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers.
