NSS Volunteer Finds Humanity Through Service

Ajna Parveen U. K. P., an NSS volunteer of Unit 48, WIRAS, had a life-changing volunteering experience at a screening camp organized by DACE Academy, Freedom Trust, and Akkara Foundation. Working alongside the Freedom Trust Chennai team, she assisted children with disabilities and their families, witnessing their resilience, unconditional love, and determination. She also supported the camp's coordination and interacted closely with beneficiaries despite language barriers, earning the affectionate nickname "Pariveen" from the volunteers. The experience deepened her understanding of empathy, gratitude, and selfless service, reinforcing the core values of the National Service Scheme and inspiring her commitment to community service.
