NSS Volunteers Attend Biodiversity Mapping Workshop at Kannur Collectorate

Fifteen NSS volunteers participated in a Workshop on Biodiversity Mapping organized by the Haritha Keralam Mission at the Collectorate, Kannur. The programme aimed to create awareness about documenting and conserving local biodiversity.

The workshop introduced participants to the concepts and practical methods of biodiversity mapping, emphasizing the importance of identifying and recording species in local ecosystems. Volunteers gained valuable insights into how biodiversity documentation supports environmental conservation and sustainable development initiatives.

Certificates were distributed to all participants upon successful completion of the training programme. The workshop enhanced the volunteers’ understanding of environmental issues and strengthened their commitment towards biodiversity conservation and ecological protection activities.
