NSS Volunteers to Clean Meenkunnu Beach

As part of the World Environment Day observance, NSS Unit 48 of WIRAS is organizing a beach cleaning drive at Meenkunnu Beach on 5 June in collaboration with Azheekode Grama Panchayat. The programme continues the unit’s sustained efforts towards environmental protection and community engagement.

The cleaning drive will be inaugurated by Mrs. K. Sanila, President of Azheekode Grama Panchayat. NSS volunteers will actively participate in cleaning the beach and promoting awareness about environmental conservation, waste management, and the importance of protecting coastal ecosystems.

The initiative reflects the commitment of NSS Unit 48 to transform environmental awareness into meaningful action while encouraging students and the public to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly practices for a cleaner future.
