Vision to Research: Synopsis Showcase Conducted for Final Year B.Com Cooperation Students

The PG Department of Commerce successfully organized the programme titled “Vision to Research: Synopsis Showcase” for Final Year B.Com Cooperation students on 24 November 2025 at the Seminar Hall. The initiative aimed at enhancing students’ research competencies and equipping them for their final project work. The session began with a welcome address by Ms. Rajasree A. M., Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce. Dr. Noble Jacob, Head of the Department, UG & PG Department of Commerce, delivered the Presidential Address, emphasizing the importance of research-oriented learning in higher education. The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Vineethkumar, Research Director, WIRAS, who highlighted the need for originality, clarity, and a systematic approach in academic research. The event featured active participation from students, who presented their research synopses before an expert panel comprising Dr. Vineethkumar V. and Dr. Noble Jacob. The presentations covered essential elements such as research title, problem statement, objectives, hypotheses, methodology, and scope of the study. The panel provided insightful feedback, guiding students to refine their ideas, improve feasibility, adopt appropriate methodologies, and maintain ethical research standards. The session served as a valuable platform for academic interaction and critical evaluation. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Nafeesathul Fidha, Final Year B.Com Cooperation student, who expressed gratitude to the panel and faculty members. Overall, the event proved to be a meaningful academic exercise that strengthened students’ confidence and helped them structure their research effectively as they move forward with their final projects.
