WIRAS NSS Promotes Disability Inclusion

The NSS Unit 48 of WIRAS, in collaboration with GLRA India and DSS Pattuvam, organized a public awareness flash mob at Thaliparamba Bus Stand to promote the rights, dignity, inclusion, and equal participation of persons with disabilities. The programme was conducted as part of GLRA India’s Project 8456, “Promoting Inclusive Communities for Social Justice: Empowerment of People with Disabilities,” implemented in five Grama Panchayats under Thaliparamba Block. Twenty-two NSS volunteers participated in the performance, conveying messages on accessibility, equality, dignity, and ending discrimination. Sana Shamsudheen and Anurag P coordinated the volunteers, while NSS Programme Officer Rajeesh V V guided the team. Representatives of GLRA India and DSS Pattuvam also attended the programme.
