Educational Visit to Mental Health and Rehabilitation Centres

The PG Department of Psychology, WIRAS, organised a two-day educational visit on 28 and 29 October 2026 for First-Year M.Sc. Counselling Psychology students as part of their practical programme.

On the first day, students visited the Government Mental Health Centre, Kuthiravattam, and the Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Kozhikode. They gained insights into institutional counselling skills and support services for persons with disabilities.

On the second day, the students visited the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), including the Home for Mentally Disabled Children (HMDC), followed by the Centre for Disability Management and Rehabilitation Programmes (CDMRP), Kozhikode.
