Flash Mob Champions Disability Rights

The NSS Unit 48 of WIRAS, in collaboration with GLRA India and DSSS Pattuvam, organised a public awareness flash mob at Chithappile Poyil near Pariyaram Grama Panchayat Office on 17 September 2026 to promote the rights, dignity, inclusion and equal participation of persons with disabilities. The programme was organised as part of “Promoting Inclusive Communities for Social Justice: Empowerment of People with Disabilities.” The programme was inaugurated by Grama Panchayat President Mr C Balakrishnan and felicitated by Vice President K Shaima and NSS Programme Officer Mr Rajeesh V V. Sister Haritha DSSS, GLRAI Block Coordinator, welcomed the gathering, while GLRAI Assistant Coordinator Baby John delivered the vote of thanks. A team of 22 students, comprising NSS volunteers and first year prospective volunteers, participated in the flash mob, coordinated by Khadeeja Hakeem. Unit Secretaries Suhan Haneef T and Ridha Aysha M guided the volunteers.
