Induction Programme session for the academic year 2025–2026

The Department of English conducted the first Induction Programme session for the academic year 2025–2026 on 15th July 2025 at 9:30 AM in the Lecture Hall of the English Department. The session aimed to welcome and orient the newly admitted students to the academic and cultural ethos of the department.

The session began with a welcome address by Ms. Riya, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Her warm and eloquent words made the students feel at ease and set a cordial atmosphere for the event.

The highlight of the session was an insightful talk by Mr. Rajeesh Bala , noted writer and Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism. With his engaging presence and thought-provoking reflections, he guided the students through the world of literature and life. Quoting Buddha — “It doesn’t matter what you do, but how you do it,” — he beautifully connected the essence of that philosophy to one's approach to reading, writing, and living meaningfully.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Nivedya Das, Head of the Department of English. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to the resource person for his valuable contributions .
The session served as an inspiring and thoughtful beginning to the students’ academic journey, instilling in them a sense of purpose, creativity, and belonging.
