Orientation Session Guides First-Year BCA Students on Academic Journey

As part of the induction programme, the Department of Computer Science conducted an orientation session for first-year BCA students, led by Ms. Soumya Rishin, Head of the Department. The session introduced students to the department’s background, vision, mission, and academic structure. Key achievements such as consistent academic performance, success in national-level competitions, strong alumni placements, and industry collaborations were highlighted. The industry-oriented curriculum and various academic activities were also emphasized. Students were introduced to the faculty members and their areas of expertise. Guidelines on discipline, code of conduct, and attendance requirements were clearly explained. The session provided students with a clear understanding of departmental expectations and opportunities, helping them begin their academic journey with confidence and enthusiasm.
