Plant Today, Protect Tomorrow

In observance of World Environment Day 2026, the Tourism Club and the Department of English, WIRAS, are jointly organizing “Adopt a Plant”, a tree-planting initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.The programme will be held on 5 June 2026 at 10:00 AM at Azadi Circle, WIRAS, and will be inaugurated by Dr. Aboo Ishaque P. K., Principal, WIRAS. The initiative seeks to encourage students and staff to contribute towards environmental conservation through the adoption and planting of saplings. The programme is expected to create awareness about the importance of protecting nature and inspire participants to take active responsibility for a greener and more sustainable future.
