FDP Session: Emotional Aesthetics
An advanced faculty development session was successfully conducted at Wadihuda Institute of Research & Advanced Studies (WIRAS) on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Organized under the banner of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as part of the seven-day training framework, "ElevatEd: Learn to Lead Learning," the program aimed to introduce progressive pedagogical strategies to the institutional faculty. The session, titled "Emotional Aesthetics in Education," commenced at 9:30 AM in the campus Seminar Hall and featured acclaimed writer and facilitator M Noushad as the keynote resource specialist. Throughout the presentation, the speaker emphasized the critical intersection of creative expression, emotional intelligence, and academic instruction, guiding educators on how to move beyond conventional text-based teaching to cultivate deeper psychological connections with students. By introducing these holistic methodologies, WIRAS—a NAAC B++ accredited institution affiliated with Kannur University—continues to strengthen its professional development initiatives, ensuring its teaching staff is thoroughly equipped to foster inclusive, engaging, and emotionally supportive classroom environments.
