The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of WIRAS successfully organized the second phase of the Life Skills Training Session under the Management Development Programme (MDP) on Life Skills for Effective Leadership and Personal Growth on 17th May 2025. The session was held at the Seminar Hall from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and witnessed active participation from faculty members and staff.The session began with a welcome address by Mr. Razik K, Administrative Officer, who highlighted the significance of life skills in academic and administrative roles, especially in fostering leadership and holistic development.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Salmanul Farisi, who delivered an engaging and interactive session focusing on key life skills essential for personal and professional effectiveness. The topics covered during the session included Empathy, Interpersonal Relationships, Problem Solving, and Decision Making. The training adopted a hands-on approach that included interactive discussions, real-life examples, and practical application methods, which greatly enhanced the participants’ understanding of the concepts.The participants appreciated the relevance of the topics and the engaging manner in which they were presented. The session encouraged self-reflection and team-based thinking, helping attendees explore how these skills can contribute to more effective leadership and better interpersonal dynamics in the workplace.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Vinnethkumar V, Research Director, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, organizing team, and participants for making the session meaningful and impactful.
