WIRAS Celebrates Keralappiravi

The Department of Malayalam, in association with NSS Unit 48 and the Library Department of Wadihuda Institute of Research and Advanced Studies (WIRAS), organized a special session titled “Bharanabhasha-Matrubhasha” on 31st October 2025 as part of the Keralappiravi Day celebrations.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Padmanabhan Kavumbayi, poet and Professor in Malayalam at Payyannur College. The session was presided over by Dr. Aboo Ishaque P. K, Principal of WIRAS, who emphasized the need to uphold the richness of regional languages while embracing multilingualism.

Mr. R. C. Pradeepan, Head of the Department of Languages, welcomed the gathering. Felicitations were delivered by Mr. M. Devaraj, Chief Librarian, and Mr. Rajeesh V. V, NSS Programme Officer. Ms. Ajna Parveen U. K. P., NSS Volunteer, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme began with the NSS Geetham and witnessed active participation from students and faculty, celebrating the spirit of unity in diversity.
