Student Eye Captures Creative Perspectives

The NSS Unit 48 of WIRAS, in collaboration with the Department of Journalism, organized “Student Eye,” a Photography and Videography Competition in connection with World Photography Day. Held from 24 to 31 July 2026, the competition encouraged students to explore creativity and express their perspectives through visual media. Students from various departments participated in Photography and Videography categories, presenting works based on campus life, nature, and social themes. Mr. Sudheesh Komath, award-winning photographer and Mentor, Sony South Asia, evaluated the entries based on creativity, composition, originality, and visual expression. Mirsa Ali won the Videography category, while Sahin Mahamood secured first place in Photography. The winners received cash prizes of ?300 and ?200 respectively. The event was coordinated by Saha K.P. and Zayan.
