WIRAS NSS Unit Honors Doctors at Cheruthazham Family Health Centre on National Doctors’ Day

On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day, observed on July 1, the NSS Unit of WIRAS paid a heartfelt tribute to the medical fraternity by organizing a meaningful visit to the Cheruthazham Family Health Centre, Pilathara. The event aimed to recognize and honor the selfless service of doctors who form the cornerstone of our healthcare system.

As a token of love and gratitude, rose flowers were presented to medical professionals at the centre. The felicitation ceremony, held at the hospital premises, was brief yet elegant, reflecting the volunteers’ deep respect for the healthcare community. The following doctors were honored during the event: Dr. Maneesh K, Medical Officer, Dr. Shaila E, Dr. Soorya K, Dr. Arathi Santhosh.

The programme began with a welcome address by Volunteer Fathima Shiba TMA, followed by a presidential address from NSS Programme Officer Mr. Rajeesh V V, who highlighted the vital role of doctors in community well-being.

Dr. Maneesh K and Health Inspector Gopalakrishnan P V addressed the gathering. Dr. Maneesh extended his gratitude to the NSS unit for organizing the tribute and appreciated the students’ awareness and spirit of community engagement.

Volunteer Secretary Abhirami P V offered a note of appreciation on behalf of all volunteers, followed by a vote of thanks by Mizaj Ashraf.

The initiative stood as a powerful reminder of the tireless efforts of doctors and the importance of expressing collective gratitude for their contributions to society.
