Voting Awareness Session Held at WIRAS College

An awareness class on the importance of voting was conducted on March 27 at WIRAS College for NSS volunteers. The programme aimed to educate students about their fundamental rights and responsibilities as citizens in a democratic society. The session was led by resource person Mr. Rajesh Payyaratta, BLO, UPSA GHSS Cheruthazham, who delivered an informative and engaging talk. He explained the significance of voting, the election process, and the crucial role of youth in strengthening democracy. The session also emphasized the importance of informed and ethical voting. NSS volunteers actively participated in the programme, clarifying their doubts and engaging in discussions. The initiative successfully created awareness and encouraged students to take part responsibly in the electoral process.
